HOW IT WORKS

Throughout the event, guests sign up, and we take their photo as reference to sketch from, so they may continue to mingle and enjoy the event. They are more than welcome to watch as we create their sketch, as that is half the fun!

It takes about 7 minutes to illustrate one person. Illustrations are done with marker, pen, and quick-drying watercolor, so guests may take their sketch as soon as it is created.

If we do not have a partner artist in your city or state, our Dallas-based team will gladly travel to your event. Any applicable travel expenses will be determined by event date and location.

 

 Frequently Asked Questions

  • Pricing for live illustrations is $275 an hour with a two-hour minimum for events, and a four-hour minimum for weddings. There are optional add-ons, such as an additional artist, that we can give a separate quote for.

  • It takes about 7 minutes to sketch one person. Generally, about 7 singles or 5 to 6 couples can be sketched per hour. The final number of illustrations completed during an event depends on how many artists are sketching at your event, and how many singles vs. couples we are sketching. We can also adjust the level of detail in the illustrations in order to reduce the illustration time per guest, if you desire. Depending on your guest list size, not all guests may get drawn. Please keep in mind, not everyone will ask for an illustration.

  • We try to limit it to one or two people so as many guests as possible can take artwork home at the end of the night. If you’d like a group illustration, we can do that from the home studio for a separate fee. 

  • Yes! Live illustrations are great for any size event, large or small. If you are worried about managing the number of guests we can accommodate during the event, we can discuss a few creative (and fun!) options with you. 

  • The venue or host provides a sturdy table for each artist (minimum 4’ wide, rectangular is best) decorated as desired with a chair, and an electrical outlet nearby. We provide all art supplies, 5 x 7” cardstock, packaging for illustrations, a table light, and signage.

  • Yes! We can pre-print on the illustration paper for an extra fee, starting at $20.

  • If you want a copy that looks identical to the original, we highly recommends Coupralux Art Printing Services in the Design District. They are FABULOUS!

Meet Kristyn

Kristyn, our Founder and Fashion Illustrator, obtained her BA in Art from The University of North Texas (she originally wanted to design wedding gowns!). She is passionate about all things creative. This includes art, fashion design, illustration, event design and planning, and she even dabbles in interior design. Kristyn has been drawing since she could hold a pencil, and her love of fashion illustration blossomed in college. She has been illustrating professionally for over 10 years. Kristyn feels blessed her passion affords her the privilege of being a part of and adding a special touch to so many special moments in the lives of others. 

Kristyn resides in Dallas with her husband and daughter, both artists as well! In her spare time, she likes to draw, golf, dance, spend time with family and friends, and travel.
